Pregnancy is a unique time in a woman's life and is characterized by complex physiological changes. The perinatal period is defined as the period around the time of birth, beginning with the completion of the 20-28th week of gestation and ending 1-4 weeks after birth.
Your child should visit a pediatric dentist when the first tooth comes in, usually between 6 and 12 months of age. This visit will establish a dental home for your child.
